The Ramp

Rather than work, because who wants to do that, we took a ride out to "The Ramp." The US Army used the ramp to haul goods up onto the ice cap in the 1950s for Camp Century, a 100-man camp built under the ice and powered by a nuclear generator. But in order to lend some legitimacy to the trip, we started at the Thule Museum by watching a movie about Camp Century and then called the trip a "Staff Ride." That's the ramp over my shoulder.
